This process is part of the Satellite Filing procedures required by the International
Telecommunication Union (ITU) and local regulators such as Ofcom
, for specific frequency
registration
.
The SAS ITU filings for the frequencies related to the SSG
‐
CSL and SSG
‐
3D satellite systems used
for the launch of the 3 Diamonds have been
validated
by the regulators. This is a major step for
SAS as this provides regulatory conf
irmation of its ability to deliver services using the 3 Diamonds.
The 3 Diamond
s nano
satellites were launched on 23/06/2017 and completed the required
continuous operation period of 90 days on 23/09/2017.

FYI - September 25th 2017 announcement - • SAS Bring-Into-Use (BIU) application submitted to the ITU about to be finalized following three consecutive months of data transmission in S-band, as part of the regulatory clearance for frequency use
