    My apologies for not replying sooner, Chuck.

    I was also a bit concerned that I may sign up
    (for a solar electircal system) only to find the
    ACT and/or the Rudd or Howard goverments
    may whack on a dirty great subsidy that I
    tragically miss out on.

    But the $25,290 was burning a hole in
    my pocket - plus BP is kicking in a $990
    'cash-back' subsidy and the feds $8000.

    That gives me a bottom line of $16,300 for a
    2000 kilowatt system to pump power into
    the grid - and that's the interesting part.

    The ACT government *may* arrange
    for power going into the grid to be more
    expensive (for ACTEW) than power
    coming to me from ACTEW.

    But which ever way the cat jumps
    this is about saving the planet
    not about making me rich!
