That's why I titled the thread "IF this is for real...". Personally, I have doubts, but will keep an open mind.

Having seen the advances made in refueling Formula 1 cars and V8 Supercars - it's all about input diameter, flow pressure and rate, and the ability to vent the air in the tank fast enough - they can now fill the tank in 3-5 seconds. This used to take minutes. If the analogy carries over into the electrical charging situation, then let's wait and see if Mr Fisker can explain how he does it.

I'm no electrical engineer, but if a charge can be placed across, say, a capacitor or a solid state battery in 60 seconds, but then it discharges at a much slower rate, would that even be possible? Is there a law of physics that says electrical energy flowing in one direction has to be at the same rate as when it flows in the opposite direction?

As I said, keep an open mind and see what Fisker has to say about it.
