I worked on some tenements around yalgoo once and the prospectors would show me nuggets frequently but we never found a mineable deposit around their discoveries. We spent loads on drilling but it was always bits and pieces, which is typical of Archean gold deposits. Nuggets are alluvial so don't necessarily represent what's under the ground where they are found.
