mmm watso checked out the coles corned beef in a can - only about $2.70 for a can (maybe about 34o grams), imported from brazil, but 95% beef... something to think about . not a bad price for cooked meat, and probably tastes good as part of a sandwich. watso did notice that the health star rating was only about 1.5... sadly, the australian canned product was double the price
watso also checked out the corned beef in the coles meat section - they seemed to have a premium product for $12/kg (seemed to have all the yum yum fat cut off), and a cheaper product for $9 /kg (probably the equivalent of the aldi product)

Corned beef cooked and eaten. Was a great Sunday lunch. I made cabbage and onion and mashed potato. A little gravy. Yum. Left over went on sandwiches for lunch on Monday.
Have another to cook and this time will make Reuben Sandwiches.
