so this represents part of the why we haven't got the coating biotech wins. Energy, simply put, is going through the patent process and I believe the lack of commercialisation here has been strategic to an extent in that they want to ensure they have all facets of IP locked up before they start any partnerships (lesson learned from Philips??)

There have been a few constants, and I'm pretty sure I get what you're driving at, but I'm not ready to bite. I do believe insisting on cracking the dx market was strategically poor, that said, the understanding of the extent of applicability is still evolving. Point being, if they continue to insist on dx when we now know we have other avenues with reduced barriers to enter the market it's pretty stupid imho
