If the result of the Northcote by election is any indication labor have failed miserably in their attempt to capture the green vote. What now? do they reposition and adopt more of the green agenda or do they reposition slightly to the center and start governing for all Victorians . With gas prices set to rise further a court case and blackouts looming surely you would think they could spin their way out of trouble by selling themselves to the Victorian public as an environmental govt that prefers clean gas over dirty coal which is extracted without fracking etc etc. The Victorian opposition is weak and doesn't seem to be able to lay a glove on Andrews and his ministers so it should not be a problem for a govt such as we have to do a u turn on part of their energy policy at least and perhaps pinch some votes from the conservatives. Am I clutching at straws?
