Schools, health and infrastrucure ARE ALL FUNDED BY BOTH FEDERAL AND STATE GOVERNMENTS.
The states recieve their own revenue from their own taxes to fund these areas as well as GST and special purpose grants from the federal government.
The federal government raises taxes from us (OUR MONEY) and either funds the ares they are responsible for, provides money to the states so they can meet their funding responsibilities and the balance is kept as a surplus.
This surplus OUR MONEY that the government has taken by over taxing use can now either be kept by the governemnt, returned in tax cuts or used to increase special purpose funding to the states
This poll has shown that out of 22,000 repondants 90% want the money spent in the ares of health, education and infrastructure. Which means either the federal governemnt spending the money directly themselves or providing it to the states as special purpose grants to spend.
