Ann: Basalt conglomerate gold discovery at Bellary Project, page-88

The photo in today's announcement of 6 watermelon seed size gold, put a dampener on the statement of “significant discovery”. Lots of people, myself included were expecting something bigger than watermelon seed sizes.

Gold nuggets (6) discovered in Hardey Formation basalt conglomerate via metal detecting over a 50m strike extent.


I like this “very encouraging as it opens up the Bellary Project to both Witwatersrand paleo-placer style mineralisation” I am also looking forward to the geological team phase 1 field results, which are due in the coming weeks.
