Funny you should mention the Sieve X memorial GM. I was there with my son who has been away for the past year, yesterday. It's an incredibly moving installation and a testament to the fact that at least some Australians have some sort of conscience of the acts that have been perpetrated in their name. Those who want to boost their knowledge of this would do well to peruse the senate inquiry:

It would take a long time and I don't think I'm capable of relating how I feel about Australia's role in world events over the past dozen or so of the Howard years and before...
Suffice it to say that western governments have revealed their feet of clay. Not surprising I suppose since we are all human and human nature leaves much to be desired....
