Melua, I wouldn't generalise all instos as operating without regard to technical analysis. Sure, many value funds won't look at the chart but there are plenty of instos who do (such as prop desks and quant funds that marry the fundamental with the technical).
As for the Comsec report (Aspect Huntley I assume), I'd ignore it. Their recommendation is based on long term eps growth rates. Come on, give me a DCF valuation.
Fwiw, Bloomberg tells me ABN still has a buy on it and a 97c price target, Paterson and Tolhurst are both holds, with 72c and 80c price targets, respectively.
I no longer hold.
