as I understand it the NPV calculation was based on REE prices 25% above that used by LYC to get their project feasible. Does anyone with a spreadsheet know what the NPV would be for ARU based on REE prices being discounted by 25% for each year?
The other two points seem to be:
1. Separation technology, here I have faith as ANSTO has been involved all the way and given its approval on the processes used; and
2. The timelines being longer than expected. If you listen to AS's on brr this allows for plenty of completions ahead of time.
Whether ARU will deliver on the above 2 is debateable and one can only forecast the price of REE in the future.
