As I understand it the chemistry is delivered to the client pre-mixed in the form of an emulsion which is essentially a immiscible mixture of droplets of the various component chemistries. The client has no part in 'mixing' the chemistries. Since there is no molecular bonding of the component chemistries in emulsions they usually have a limited shelf life and can/will de-emulsify over time. Therefore the chemistries tend to be manufactured and shipped on demand.

I think this is part of the reason for the new platform strategy where they have a standard set of chemistries and elininated the more costly 'bespoke' solutions which were impacting the cost base for not much gain.
