Who knows what is to come. Anyone with a few brains would have hedges in place aginst stock positions. If you cant pick stocks that out perform the market and you've just been carried along in the bull market then moments like this are going to do some damage.
As for what is going to happen I wouldn't know, but I am suspicious of market fluctuations that happen on options expiry day and on anniversary days. The market never falls too bad when so many are waiting for it because the short ones take profits. It's when no one expects it that the worst comes.
