China is a unique environment where direct advertising is a lot less effective that personal recommendations hence the use of online 'personalities'.
Word of mouth is the key way to build sales, that will take time & work if they have a good product (?).
I was a little concerned re the reviews on the tmall woolies site that the customers who had bought online where primarily focussed on the skin whitening aspect (& taste!) rather than the moisterising or healthy nature of the product.
I don't have concerns around the sales side as they will come if they have a good product. How much consumer testing have they done?
