I apply for copyright protection with my own company as a matter of course so I Personally fail to see it as market sensitive information, would have thought any half decent company is going to put in place a copyright protection for products it sells into a new geographic market, aftr all it only costs a few hundred bucks to do

Maybe they are merely trying to show that the company is looking at japan rather than just Europe and the USA.
