That is an absolute mystery to me -
If they are shorting for profit (cover at a lower price) maybe they have not tweaked to the possibility of M&A action. T/O will certainly have to be above current price to be successful and is often associated with a TH and even a VS. All that is bad news for a shorter.
On the other hand - if the manipulator has sold all his shares but still wants to keep the lid on the price - he could borrow and sell - ie short. Will cost him when the offers come in - but that is the play he is making.
T/Os are great fun, but not the necessarily the quickest way to make a bag or two - just sayin.
Over the weekend I think we should all talk a lot about T/Os so that holders here will not be too shocked if it happens.
