The board obviously underestimated the shareholder support and backing Lev Mizikovsky has as a successful entrepreneur. Lev is first and foremost a shareholder and from what I have personally observed, always puts shareholders’ interests first.
I made the mistake of doubting Lev in May last year when I called an EGM on a small listed nano materials manufacturing company being run out of WA that Lev has significant ownership in. Lev had grown somewhat impatient with the ongoing poor performance of the company and wanted a complete overhaul of the business. He could see the business had incredible potential. I doubted one of his picks to the board and challenged it. Fast forward to today and the business is making real trading profits for the first time ever and are on the cusp of being in a position to pay a dividend. The director that I challenged is doing all of the heavy lifting. I have never been so wrong in my entire life about somebody. I have also learnt the hard way to back Lev’s judgement.
As a small shareholder of CLH, I personally thanked Lev for making a stand. We both believe it’s healthy for boards to be challenged by shareholders. I speak from experience when I say that if the current board does not put shareholders’ interests first, then Lev will build his own tent and it will be the only one standing in the end!
