Thanks to a FB poster for sharing this, I am sure he won't mind me posting it here as well.
It’s quite odd as I know that the ministry had the announcement but it was pulled at the last minute. I think that BP raised their bid 3 times and Cairn took a walk. The people involved are not happy with what has happened I know that.
The one thing we know is that the value of the asset is possibly much higher than we thought although I would like to see a transaction to frank that if I’m honest!
I did say this in good faith, I never want to say anything I don’t think is a real live chance.

bid raised 3 times.
