good result but some skeletons in the closet which are mentioned in a number of places in the presentation pack released with the results (eg, at risk loans, instutional and asia/pac business needing a push along, etc).

having said that, new ceo also doing a clean out so the next result looks good. same approach taken when johnny mac took over from mercer all those years ago
management is generally good at anz compared to the rest but a few there who mess up a little like the mess they made of the etrade buy out - cant believe that some prople get paid that much to stuff up that much and still kep their job
smells like an accumulate opportunity
