Some girls never played up after that an other girls seemed to get into trouble all the time...an got spanked all the time...

Even saw the cane break while a couple of guys got it once.....

Everyone first thing in the morning would hide the chalk duster, an any cane if it was left in a class...( Usually it was kept in the teachers office )

I am still proud of the fact that I held the Marist Brothers Thebarton SA school caning record when I was 10 years old in Grade 6. I had the cane 26 whacks in one day. Mostly 6 on one hand. I got so hardened to the cane I could look the person in the eye and not flinch. I don't think it made me better or worse.
