China is a developing economy and there appears to be minimum quality control on anything, be it food or medical items, and the government also just appears to want everything done yesterday and have no control over all the production.

So it is very much buyer beware, if you are buying cheap you don't expect too much but the problem is the Australian retailers/importers which put massive write ups on cheap junk items that people here expect (due to the price) to be quality which never existed in the first place

They will eventually "grow up" but in the meantime junk material will be out there
