There could be a small sell off prior to options record date so some punters who don't have the money to pay for their options can obtain cash to pay for the shares they will continue holding.

There will be a sell off after record date for the same reason. How big this sell off would be, I don't think it would be that great but time will tell. Because the option issue is 1 for 5 @4cents it is not a lot of money for individual shareholders to find unless your holding a multi million share position.
