what an extraordinary situation markets are in.. most traders now know the usa fed is, directly or indirectly. deliberately increasing liquidity in equity markets.. liquidity meaning that large parcels of stock can be sold without driving down the price.. and while the fed may have good intentions (naive saps), the beneficiaries of the feds generous support (usa banks) are exploiting the situation to the hilt.. and now as a result the usa has equity prices that are out of the park on a risk/reward basis.. its a bizaare situation.. the fed seems to be willing to persist with their policy.. the banks are persisting in driving up prices with cheap fed discount window money.. the us govt through the ppt is intervening directly in the market on top of or perhaps in cooperation with the commercial banks ... its a total mockery of a market.. big long only instos think its great.. american prestige is being maintained.. will market forces actually dominate at some point? jeeze i hope so..
