This type of partnering has real potential and is where smaller (but not too small) niche operators can add real value for communities and share holders.

Do not short sell the tpg mindset (or telcos in general).. there are lots of telco opportunities out there just waiting for the right solution. The limitations of the nbn is just one... The challenge for the telcos is identifying their strengths and using them to add customer / shareholder value.

I'm impressed and quietly confident that the telco space has a lot to offer.
