To be honest I dont think they thought it would be this response. When they decided they were going to sell Lynas the talk was that they would go to Turkey (Ariana is there) looking for Lithium. Wedin went to Portugal to have a look and the rest is history. So Wedin has done it twice now.
I think because it can supply Glass & Ceramics / EV stuff makes it more important than all the other European areas. EV could fall over tomorrow (not likely) but the mine could produce material for Glass & Ceramics. That is a huge market in Europe.
