Makes rise pre 87 crash look quite tame. However, on log scale this rise is nowhere near the pre-87 one.
pre-1987 rise from 500 - 2200 = 440%.
Current rise (taking invasion of Iraq as start) from 2800-6800 = 243% increase.
As yet the stockmarket frenzy does not appear to have spread to every second person known so maybe time for some more exuberant times before next serious correction (and a push up to 440% increase!).
