I have no truck with corporations that do not pay their legitimate tax, none whatsoever. But I worked long enough (but no more) to know that net profit does not, of itself, equal taxable profit.
And it is not true that your so called battlers cannot negotiate with the ATO.I have done so on three occasions, and have arrived at a satisfactory resolution, including one occasion when bloated by profitable share transactions (those were the days!), I inadvertently did not pay my income tax liability on time.
