Clearly early days but hmm...

From a fundamental perspective, what's needed is a battery which performs functionally as well as a tank of petrol, i.e.
1. Can drive a 1½ ton vehicle some 1000 km over typical terrain
2. Can "refill" (recharge) in 5 minutes or less
3. Is good for at least 10,000 recharges over at least 10 years with no more than 10 % loss of charging function in that interval
4. Is relatively cheap, say less than a few thousand $$

Let's hope that innovations like this which still keep lithium in the loop, take off...
