Verisk (VRSK-USA) has entered the Australian market and is looking to expand its market share globally. Verisk is a $16bn giant and shares the US market with Eagleview with its Xactware product. They are currently in battle over Verisk infringing on EVs patents, they have a long history. Verisk tried to acquire EV but got knocked back as they would have 100% of the insurance market.
Verisk, like Eagleview have a significant appetite for acquiring businesses. At their size its the only way to grow. Given Eagleview only have an exclusive deal in the North American market, this opens up SFI to Verisk in Australia and globally. Now they are in Australia I suspect they will have a very keen interest in the Spookfish technology.
Check out the latest presentation below which highlights Verisk's global strategy.

If Eagleview put in another significant purchase order for more systems then it should re-rate the share price significantly and prove to everyone that the systems are as innovative as expected as it will show Eagleview are fitting out their entire fleet and this will open up Verisk to make a move. The share price is going to be the trigger for any takeover action. If Eagleview can contain the price for as long as they need they don't need to take it out. But if the price starts running than it will force them to move sooner.
