saulgoodyo, to start with GMC is not a manganese miner, they own NO mines and own NO manganese ore prospects or projects. GMC is planning to set up a ferro manganese smelter using 3rd party ore.
If you have done any research you'd already know that OMH's new ferro alloy plant in Sarawak Malaysia has the cheapest power in Asia, only 1/3 the cost of what GMC is getting for their project in Indonesia. That alone is enough to make sure that GMC will only ever be a marginal producer at best, thats if it doesn't go broke, because competition is fierce. GMC is worth a quick trade if you pick it up under 1c. OM Sarawak has a huge cost advantage over all smelters in Asia and will even be cheaper than Iceland shortly when the new power contracts are implemented. OH Sarawak leaves South African smelters for dead when its come to power/electricity costs. Norway is the only place where power costs are similar.
OMH Bootu Ck manganese mine is making good profits at present with buoyant manganese prices, but does suffer when prices are extremely low, mostly due to expensive labor costs in Australia and the grade isn't as good as S32. OMH does have a stake in South African manganese mines through its 26% stake in Ntsimbintle which owns the 3 million tonne pa Mn mine Tshipi. This is also where OMH has a strategic advantage as that 26% stake in Ntsimbintle also gives them a similar stake in some other new Mn mines that are currently being developed.
If you're planning to buy OMH, better get in before the next financial report, otherwise you'll be paying a heap more money.
