Seaborne coking coal prices rise again on supply concerns
Seaborne coking coal prices have started to pick up some upward momentum again with concerns over the long waiting time to obtain cargoes keeping buyers on tenterhooks.
Offers of premium hard coking coal approached $250 per tonne fob Australia on Wednesday December 13, though buyers have indicated that those levels were not acceptable to them. “There are some delays even at Indian ports where thermal coal is being prioritized on rail transportation in the domestic market,” a buyer source in the country said....
It's kicking up a notch again. I think it could be a strong start to 2018 for coking coal not as glamorous as lithium and cobalt but still money to be made.
