The announcement sounds complicated, its not.
1. Using GQDs to print QR codes means they cant be counterfeit. Whereas normal QR codes can be.
2. Storing the information on blockchain means the records of whatever your trying to protect cannot be altered. Whereas normal records can be.
Both these things are obviously imperative if you are trying to develop fool proof anti counterfeit technology.
