With surface grades of over 83lb/ton and drilling starting in under three weeks
MKY would be my number one uranium stock.
cheers.
Uranium program commenced
Initial results highly encouraging
MKY wishes to advise the market of commencement of a trenching program earlier
this week to help determine drill targets on the first of its highly prospective uranium
tenements, EPM 14315 in north Queensland.
MKY previously reported extremely high grade assays from EPM 14315 in its
announcements to the market on 22 June 2007, with a highest assay of 83.4 lbs/ton,
whilst other high grades were 81.4 lbs/ton, 54.6 lbs/ton, 43.4 lbs/ton, 20.6 lbs/ton,
6.52 lbs/ton and 5.46 lbs/ton.
Of note in the announcement made to the market on 22 June 2007, was the technical
opinion of the Company’s geological advisor that the samples assayed seemed not to
have “travelled” due to their coarse and semi-angular nature and may have their
source or host rock from within MKY’s tenement area. The high grade samples came
from a wide area of approximately 12 square kilometres.
Whilst the trenching program was only commenced earlier this week, two of the three
trenches completed up until Thursday have descended to the bedrock and have
encountered the same host rock that produced the high grade assay samples referred
to above.
The Directors are highly encouraged by this initial outcome so early in the program
but caution investors in that no assays have yet been taken from the bedrock and
details as to depth, length and breadth of bedrock exposed are still not quantified.
