A 3 to 4 yr term is barely enough to bring in policies and see them implemented ... we end up with short term radical swings.
Why not elect a govt for a 5 to 6 yr terms with oversight?
Why not mandate that lib and lab alternate at least every second term, with oversight?
Am I off track in thinking that parties could groom themselves and their policies for govt rather than whinge and whine in opposition?
Governments get a chnce to implement visionary policies without becoming complacent.
