Another thing that is not being admitted too with the EVs is that every time you fast charge, you decrease your battery life by four hours. The proponents keep advertising the fast charge time to make the practical use picture more attractive.
You don't need to be Einstein to work out how long it would take to halve the life of your battery with fast charging.
Where I live the hilly terrain and use of the heater reduces the range by at least 30%. Add that to the degradation due to fast charging, and the advertised figures look pretty sad, and this is after 10 years of development.
