a 'no' result would be a more favorable outcome for shareholders compared to a 'yes' result. Fact is all company/shares listed on the ASX are open to manipulation its just a matter of whose got the biggest package to play with, so whether they consolidate or dont consolidate it makes no difference.

There is more upside to downside if 'No' is the result

Vote 'no' and the SP will get punished/solddown but this will only be temporary/short term, the market will come back and the true value of the SP will emerge as current fundamentals progress forward.

Vote 'yes' and your working 5 fold less shares, with just as much volatility maybe even more as every 1c move equates to 5x the value. There is definatley more Downside then there is upside if 'Yes' is the result, temporarily the SP might look fantastic but in all seriousness you still gotta wait for the fundamentals to progress to justify the SP.

"its best to fold and wait for a better hand then to play the bluff with the hand your not confident with". MrBernanke
