'Weathered' is an old term we use to throw 'bout in me prospectin' days, and it brings back many a good 'ol memory.

Mosty it meant you had a good hangover after a night on the booze.

"Jesus Joe, I'm a bit weathered tis mornin.'

Or at times, if you'd been in the field too long and you were missin' the comfort of the missus (if you were married), or any sheila for that matter, then you'd go into town on a Frid'y night and exercise your Adam's branch.

Next day of course, you'd be as weathered as the biggest walrus on the beach.

Needless to say, the word 'weathered' originated in the prospectin' days before it made its way into the geolology books. So don't go listenin' too much to these dandies on stock forums who wouldn't know a weathered rock from your proverbial weathered rocks, or ever been weathered on a bottle or two fieldshine.
