    Hey guys,

The linked document may be of interest:
    https://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&...er-Final.pdf&usg=AOvVaw3rZm4Htcoc3j4axqwYg6PH

It's a paper from May 2015 co-authored by the much maligned Andrew Gretch of Slater and Gordon fame.
The paper covers his arguments for public ownership of law firms such as SGH and of course Shine, though the later is not mentioned in the paper. As you guys might be aware there is a traditionalist view that only lawyers should own law firms as public ownership may lead to conflicts of interest. However there are benefits to public ownership some of which are covered in the paper. Obviously Gretch had a biased view of this issue but none the less the question is important to whether a company like Shine is a viable proposition, not only from the perspective of clients but also shareholders.

Additionally the paper covers Gretch's views on challenges facing the legal industry in the long term - such as automation / machine learning and non-lawyer provision of legal services. I haven't read all of this in detail yet but so far it looks well worth a read through despite being a couple of years old.
