RFG Surely Worth a Buy Now..., page-351

The awesome malls (Westfield etc.) that are now destination places are attracting a lot of foot traffic. Historically, a Gloria Jeans or Donut joint would suffice but that just doesn't get me excited to go. Thus over the years new "sexier" stores have opened up competing and if I have $30 on food and drink to spend it will be bloody hard for RFG stores to win that spend vs. increased "sexy" offering.

In relation to Pizza who actually thinks hmmmmm I really want a pizza can we please get CRUST? The minority at best. I would get a bargain Domino's or Pizza Hut. Otherwise, I'd spend the same on a boutique woodfired pizza joint at a similar price point to Pizza Capers or Crust. Better atmosphere too. I can say I have a similar feeling about coffee joints. So much competition at similar price points. I continue to be amazed that these stores make enough for the owners to live. Tough game.
