LBL mainly are working on heavy industry ie parts that weigh tonnes individually ie resurfacing by laser tungsten carbide on rear axles for 250 tonne dump trucks which do not lend themselves to 3d printing currently due to size and production rate needed .
I go to their AGM every year , only about 16 of us there , yes it is very much a family business, Greg Hooper has all the tech knowledge , would be nice to get a contract on the submarines but company does not seem to show an interest there.
As an aside they do resurface with Tungsten carbide bright shiny impeller pump parts
