If all mum and dads were the law makers, they would ban cigarettes, alcohol, pots and anything to do with causing self-harm and harm to others for our children's sake. But the big brother cannot keep his itchy hand off the lucrative profits (via tax). The money that used to flow into the dark side, now will go into hands of Canadian government. Hopfully, some of this tax money will be spent on the well being of the society. Cannot see why Australian government won't follow Canadian (& Uruguy) cases if the system works and the government can rack more tax from genuine (legalized) businesses.
Perhaps it will take some time, but, Australia may follow the same Canadian route, then the comparison becomes all too relevant. Also, few Canadian Pots companies already have a large stake in Aust Pot shares (e.g. AC8 etc) . Let's see what the future holds...
