Factors:
1. The big stacks selling into announcement buyers. Like yesterday close when large parcels were exiting at whatever close bid. Happens on every stock, when price has retreated the experienced traders are accumulating inconspicuously and selling in bulk on announcement. If you have a link to pending anns. then it is like shooting fish in a barrel.
Way back I was one buying the anns. and getting stuck high and dry. Buy at possible support is less risk in my opinion but depends on the stock. Some keep rising day after day so have to play them by eye. PLS has the former pattern hence why HC resident T.A. dude HooTs is doing okay.
