this kind of comparison is not really relevant. The people who now have to pay higher interest cost (now up 6 times since Howard's "trust me" pledge) aren't going to make that kind of comparison. All that they will concern themsleves with is that there had been 6 rate increases since the 2004 election, it is hurting them and they are not going to thank the govenment for that.
