Sanjeev Gupta the new owner of the Whyalla steel works has indicated in an age article that he intends to
produce high grade greenfeed slabs for export to one of his mills in Scotland for rolling into high grade
ship building plate which would then be shipped back to south Australia for use in our defence ship
building program
