Left out seasonal Mulberry gorging and mandatory mulberry fight. Sliding down grass hills on bent pieces of roofing iron. Lived near footy ground which was extended to make two...all local clean fill was delivered there...rockfight heaven...Australian urban Somme recreation. Played rugby/soccer every cool day after school ('60's) in Sydney's western suburbs or walked to/from local pool (3km)/played street cricket in summer. Crossed Hume Hwy twice a day going to school. The more I think about it...cant believe I survived!
