There is no sign of the Kingdom of God in the Hearts of humans. Humans are a mixture of good and bad, self interest and social altruism expressed in various degrees in all people regardless of religious belief or lack of it. It is human nature. It does not require a God or gods to explain. We are social creatures and our range of behaviour stems from an interaction of genes and environment....people of ancient cultures holding different values to us in current times, accepting of slavery, public torture, execution, etc. Behaviour that we would now consider unacceptable. Not because of a God or gods but development in thought and ethics....the ethics of the God of the Bible being extremely poor by our standards, especially in the Old Testament but marginally improved in the NT.
