It looks like Australia is transitioning well from a resources based to a skills based economy.

A perfectly timed run for the burgeoning digital age to 2031.

This growth has been  possible because of skills based immigration.

Popular wisdom of tough times is wrong imo. Hopefully perceptions will change in the coming years as Australia continues to out perform globally.

Imo the keys are urban renewal through enabling transport infrastructure with decentralisation of jobs and services. Within my lifetime, I am confident that very fast inter-city ground transport will open up much of south-east Australia for decentralised urban living.

Whilst sneered at for saying so, imo history is likely to prove Malcolm Turnbull right on there never being a better time to be Australian. A effective leader sees where a country needs to head and then paves the way. Logically, this kind of leader sees first what others don’t.
