Copper on red-hot winning streak

Copper prices closed at their highest level in more than three years, lifted by hopes that a stronger US economy would fuel demand for the metal. Copper for December delivery closed up 1.3 per cent to $US3.256 a pound, the highest settlement since July 2014.
