" If, after consultation, there is still doubt remaining, the decision shall be Not out."

    Did the umpires consult? YES
    Did the umpires review? YES
Why did they review? Because of DOUBT
Should the umpires have given the batsman out? NO
Why? because law 31.6 explains the decision SHALL be NOT OUT if there is doubt.

Not maybe, or possibly or probably, BUT SHALL!!

It is a directive to give the batsman NOT OUT not an OPTION!

The umpires have contravened LAW 31.6 - Period
